I started writing 'Lily' poems a few months ago. Lily is a character very much like me, in fact she's my alter-ego. I've got a few more poems about her on the way.

Lily - The Mirror

Lily stares, searching for an answer
Through the glassy image in the mirror.
A crystal tear falls,
So small, yet holding so much.
She's silent but screaming,
Nobody hears, they never cared.
They looked without seeing;
Took away her spirit,
Lost light of the star.
Destroyed forever.
Her reflection, a broken porcelain doll.
A spectrum of fading colour;
Light blue planets, surrounded by dark rings,
Windows into her heart,
Strangled with pain.
"Why?" she whispers,
"Why does my soul cry?"
Pure evil stares back,
Saying nothing, mocking her,
Knowing the answers, unable to speak.
She is trapped in her thorny maze,
A broken bubble of happiness,
Alone with the muted angel
Gazing at her through the mirror.

Lily - The River

Lily stares into the river,
Still in search of the angels answer.
Uncertainty of eternity falls in tears
Into her broken reflection.
Cascading through her,
Rapids of emotion flow
And break that mirror,
As glass shatters
And her blood drips into the silent lake.
The rose in her hand
Offers its petals as a solution
To that unanswered question
Pounding its way into her heart.
Shell search forever
With her power of mind,
But her magic fades with every cut
She makes into her soul.
All she wants is to be his,
To be the queen of his dreams.
But the muted angel told her
That a sugar-dusted teardrop
Is all she is and all she'll ever be.

This poem is slightly different to the others. It's almost a letter from the muted angel to Lily herself, after she takes her own life.

Lily - The Aftermath

Your journey stopped dead
In it's fading spotlight
On your stage of existance.
And a delivery of lillies,
A remainder of you at my door.
The answers were never found,
For blindness took over your maze.
I would have taken that knife
And plunged it into my own glass.
Guardian angels are so passe,
But you were mine.
I was in your cold, blue heart;
Stopped now, broken.
Like you, like me.
You burnt youself
In that firey anger
Ignited only by you,
And your splinters.
An end to your darkness
Leaves half a moon
In the swollen sky of tears,
Twinkling as you watch.
And those tears of yours
Are still raining down on us,
Like fairydust.

This new poem was inspired by my first dose of 'heartbreak'.

Lily - 101 Emotions

Lily finds herself alone,
Poetry more true than ever before.
Words of heartbreak
Become clear and transparent,
Like her tears
Drowning her again.
She's one now;
A lonely star on a cloudy night.
She sits, staring...
Throwing knives at the stangers
Passing her by,
Not noticing the bitch
Behind the bluebell eyes.
Like they ever noticed anyway...
Empty, yet bubbling over with inspiration,
For poetry, for life, for death.
And he doesn't even realise,
Her rainbow of lost colour,
Blue.
Her world carries on, day by day.
But still, the angel warns her,
She'll be eternally scarred,
By the sugar-dusted tears.

Hallowe'en

This years Halloween,
Encloses around her heart,
Beating in its darkened cave.
Lily among the candles.
Electric pulses race
As energy drums hypnotically.
Yet still she dreams
Of a time now past.
The drowing ache inside her
Darkens her aura
To a bloody red-
The colour of the knife
Drawing the energy,
As she sits in the illuminated circle.
Staring back at that angelic facade,
Make-up smeared;
Dragging a dark rainbow.
Lemon bitter tears
Spark magickal reactions
In a caludron of tinted pain,
Bubbling away.
The gravity of life
Fading so she floats alone,
Above the others.
From one immortality to another.
The muted angel flickers,
As the candles burn on

Puzzle of Thoughts

Lily stares an icy stare
And wishes them to disappear.
Just because she's different,
Just because she's all she can be-
A fallen angel
From a darker heaven that what they know.
Which is practically nothing.
Because she feels like a bitch today,
Because she'll cry anyway,
Come what may.
The muted angel
With an incensed demeanor,
Takes her back to a time
When all she could do was sit and wait
For the suicidal thoughts to disintegrate.
Yet even now, so Lily says,
She's still a lonely star
In a star-packed sky.
A silver bolt from a thundercloud.
And still she wonders why.
Maybe it's her fate to be
A sugar-dusted tear.
Or maybe it's just emotion again-
The muted angel stares...

Lily's New Life

Lily's new life-
A thunderstorm of glittter,
Inspiration, Smiles.
Knowledge is power
And she's bubbling with it.
Bonds will never break
With new stars surrounding her.
And she can be Lily,
Happy or sad.
Independent lady
Living for herself.
The muted angel,
A guardian, an ally
Against rain.
Sexual stars light her up-
Her beauty finally shining
Through her scars,
Slowly healing.
Should a thundercloud
Darken her sun
She'll dance to the other side,
Stonger.
You want to bring her down?
 Bring it on -
She's a fighter,
A spirit living forever,
Alive.
